The Station Agent
The Station Agent is a 2003 US independent film about a dwarf who moves to live in an abandoned train depot in rural New Jersey to live a life of solitude. Written and directed by Thomas McCarthy.
Finbar McBride (Peter Dinklage) inherits some land property with a train depot on it after his friend and also owner of the model train shop where Fin works, Henry (Paul Benjamin) dies. Fin moves out to the train depot and wishes for a life in peace. He finds himself reluctantly becoming enmeshed in the lives of his neighbors, especially Olivia (Patricia Clarkson), a forty-year-old artist who has troubles with her broken up marriage, and Joe (Bobby Cannavale) a thirty-year-old latino who is working in his dad's hot dog stand for the summer.
