Teeth painting

Teeth painting is a custom practiced by the Si La ethnic group. This practice has slowly declined with each new generation. The Si La men painted their teeth red and the women paint theirs black.

The practice of whitening teeth has also become popular in Western culture as a form of aesthetic enhancement.
