Táknmál

Táknmál is the Icelandic language word meaning "Sign Language". The word originated from the Norwegian word "TekensprÃ¥k" – which means exactly the same thing. The Swedish word is TeckensprÃ¥k, and the Danish is Tegnesprog.

All of these words are used in the Scandinavian languages to indicate Manual Sign language.
