Strain point
During cooling, glasses (and quartz, and...) can develop internal stresses. Stresses that develop during cooling above the strain point temperature will be permanent once the material is completely cooled. Internal stresses that develop during cooling below the stress point temperature will disappear once the material is completely cooled.
