Stikine Volcanic Belt
The Stikine Volcanic Belt is a range of volcanoes stretching from northern British Columbia to the Yukon and Alaska. The belt contains more than 100 volcanoes, including Alligator Lake, Heart Peak, Hoodoo Mountain, Lava Fork, Mount Edziza, Ruby Mountain, Tseax Cone and Volcano Mountain.
The volcanoes are the result of the interaction between the Pacific Ocean tectonic plate and the North American tectonic plate.
