Spytek z Melsztyna (also known as Spytko; 1398-1439) was a notable member of the Polish gentry and a strong supporter of Polish cooperation with thye Hussite movement against the Polish magnates.
Spytek was the owner of Melsztyn estates and a castellan of Biecz. He was the leader of the opposition against the political influences of Bishop of Kraków Zbigniew Oleśnicki after the death of king Władysław Jagiełło. He supported military expeditions of Zygmunt Korybutowicz to Bohemia in the years 1422-1427 and was a supporter of cooperation with the Hussites. In 1429 he organized the Korczyn Confederation against Zbigniew Oleśnicki. Defeated by troops of the king, he died in the Battle of Grotniki.
