Special Agent Jon Zinger

Special Agent Jon Zinger is a series of short stories written by Jonathan Metzinger about a man who is being employed by the federal government as a special agent to protect his hometown of Corry, Pennsylvania.

The stories never tell which government agency Zinger (1987–2040) is working for, but he has numerous enemies which seek to kill him. Billy Bob Matthews, his arch-nemesis seeks to kill him multiple times, in The Agent and the Reprobate, The Agent and the Denominator, The Agent and the Pecok, and The Agent and the Democrat.

Many more villains are injected into his tales including Captain Jack Sparrow, Nathan Jewell, RJ Wotus, Trevor Dunmire, Alex the Abominable, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, and Rachel Foley. He overcomes these villains through the power of God, often forgetting to pray until late in the case. When he does pray, it does not take long for God to intervene and the case to be closed.

At times, someone else in the story feels a need to accept Jesus as their personal Saviour, and Zinger shows them how to do this and be saved. He considers himself a missionary of sorts as there have been many souls saved in his campaign, two of which are covered in these stories.

Charles Smith recommends these stories 'to anyone who has an interest in Pirates of the Caribbean, weird Baptist special agents, or a good story to pass any day along.'
