Soviet Union at the 1976 Summer Olympics

The Soviet Union competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. It was the tenth time that the nation had competed, including three times as the "Russian Empire". The Soviet Union competed under the IOC country code URS.

Archery

The Soviet Union sent only three archers to Montreal. Both of the women won medals, adding a silver and a bronze to the bronze medal the Soviets had won four years earlier. The lone Soviet in the men's competition took 5th place.

Women's:

  • Valentina Kovpan – 2460 points (silver medal)
  • Zebiniso Rustamova – 2407 points (bronze medal)

Men's:

  • Vladimir Chendarov – 2467 points (5th place)
