Soramimi

Soramimi kashi (空耳歌詞; literally, misheard lyrics) is a word used in the Japanese language to describe lyrics of a song that sound like the original, but are actually made up.

An example would be the Romanian band O-Zone's Dragostea Din Tei and Maiyahi (マイヤヒー, named from the words that start the song – ma-ia-hii, ma-ia-huu...).

One line of the original lyrics are:

  • Alo, salut. Sunt eu, un haiduc.

The japanese soramimi kashi of that line is:

  • Arrow 猿 すげぇ… うん? 拝読 (Arou saru sugee... un? haidoku)
