(Redirected from Sopd)
In Egyptian mythology, Septu was a god of war. Some of his titles were Lord of the East and Sharp of Teeth. The star god who guarded the borders of Egypt from invaders, Sopedu protected the mouth of the deceased. He was also thought to guard the Egyptian turquoise mines. Sopedu was depicted as a crouching falcon, or as a man with two falcons feathers on his head, carrying a long axe.
