Soledad Alvear
María Soledad Alvear Valenzuela is a Chilean politician and a pre-candidate to Chile's presidential election of 2005, representing the Christian Democratic Party, a faction of the ruling coalition Concertación. She has been a cabinet member of presidents Patricio Aylwin, Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle and Ricardo Lagos.
