List of MMPR Monsters
This is a list of monsters from the Power Rangers universe, specifically those that first appeared in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Monsters from later series can be found in the article List of Power Rangers monsters.
Artist Mole
Artist Mole was a fictional monster from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series. He was capable of draining the color out of his foes, rendering them powerless. He spoke with a French accent.
Artist Mole was created by Finster, pulled out of a nightmare of Kimberly's concerning her mother's new fiance. Artist Mole began draining things of their colors until he was challenged by the Power Rangers except for Kimberly, who had lost her communicator and therefore couldn't be summoned. Whenever the Rangers tried to land a blow on Artist Mole, they would simply pass right through him, and they summoned Ninjor for help. Unfortunately, he wasn't much help and Artist Mole drained the colors from all six of them. Kimberly finally arrived and destroyed the creature's palette, causing the colors to return to the Rangers and Ninjor. Grown to giant size by Rita and Lord Zedd, Artist Mole was quickly destroyed by Ninjor and the Ninja Megafalconzord.
Artist Mole later took part in a divide and conquer attack of Rita and Zedd's, stationed with Vampirus at a huge powerline tower. All the invading forces (which also included Goldar, Rito, and Tenga Warriors) were soon joined together by the Rangers, and they soon retreated. They returned moments later, only to be driven off by the Rangers' Shark Cycles.
Blue Globbor
It was created by Master Vile to drain Ninjor's power, then capture the Power Rangers. He was successful in the first part of the mission, capturing Ninjor and draining his energy. Fighting against the Rangers' Ninja and Shogun Zords, Globbor used Ninjor's power to achieve a second form, in which he gained some of Ninjor's armor and abilities. Eventually, at Vile's command, Globbor drained the power from the Zords themselves, losing Ninjor's armor and growing four heads, each of which were an Aquitian Ranger helmet. However, Globbor had a glaring weakness: bright, direct sunlight. By parting the storm clouds Vile had created, Alpha 5 was able to weaken Globbor so greatly that he lost all the powers he had stolen. Faced with the Power Rangers in full force, and reverted to his true form, Globbor found he was no match for them, and was destroyed by the combined might of Ninjor and the Shogun Megazord.
Globbor was next seen attending Dark Specter's conference, accompanying Master Vile, once again donning the Aquitian Ranger helmets.
Lastly, Globbor was in Rita and Lord Zedd's army in the Vica Galaxy (again with the Aquitian Ranger helmets), where he was vaporized by Zordon's shockwave.
Globbor has the ability to drain foes of their powers, then use those powers to achieve more powerful forms, usually taking on the appearance (and abilities) of those he drained.
Commander Crayfish
In the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fictional universe, Commander Crayfish is a crayfish monster that led the Mutant Rangers.
He was chosen to lead the Mutant Rangers when no Putty was worthy of becoming the Red Mutant. He had wielded an exact version of the Red Ranger's Power Sword. The Ultrazord was able to destroy Commander Crayfish.
Crabby Cabbie
Crabby Cabbie is a fictional monster in the Power Rangers universe, appearined in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Crabby Cabbie was created by Finster in the form of a taxicab and could project energy from his tailpipes.
Lord Zedd had used Finster's vehicular transformer apparatus on the cab that Bulk, Skull, and Kimberly were riding in, transforming it into Crabby Cabbie. Bulk, Skull, and Kim were trapped within the warping inside of the car. Crabby Cabbie was destroyed by the Shogunzords.
Crabby Cabbie was among the monsters at Master Vile's monster conference.
Cyclops
Cyclops is a fictional shapeshifting monster in the Power Rangers universe, created by Finster.
Cyclops was able to change his shape at will. He could project energy beams from his eye.
Cyclops had disguised himself as the Dragonzord to lure the Rangers out. Once he was found out, he retreated after realizing that being hit with the real Dragonzord's tail had taken away his ability to maintain a disguise. He later launched another attacked on a city near Angel Grove, this time he was disguised as the Dragonzord Battle Mode. The Dino Ultrazord destroyed Cyclops.
Eye Guy
Eye Guy was a fictional monster in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He had an array of energy beam attacks he could launch from his various eyes, and could reassemble himself if blown apart.
Created by Finster, Eye Guy's mission was to capture a highly-intelligent child so Rita Repulsa could absorb their intelligence. Eye Guy captured one, a boy named Willie, and was challenged by the Power Rangers. He proved to be invulnerable to their Power Blaster and had them on the ropes until Billy destroyed his main eye. Grown to giant size by Rita, Eye Guy was destroyed by the Power Rangers' Megazord, freeing the child before Rita could get to him.
Eye Guy later attended Rita and Lord Zedd's wedding, bringing a caged spider for either a decoration or a light snack. After the reception, he was part of the monster army that fought and was destroyed by the Thunderzords.
He is one of the villains in the original Power Ranger Video Game.
Eye Guy was featured in Episode: Countdown To Destruction.
Garbage Mouth
Garbage Mouth is a fictional monster in the Power Rangers universe.
Garbage Mouth is a garbage monster created by Finster. Garbage Mouth could project exploding energy blobs at his enemies.
Garbage Mouth was sent to capture Kat Hillard, but she was able to get herself free. Garbage Mouth was able to capture the Shogunzords with a trash can. The Shogunzords were able to free themselves from the can. The Shogun Megazord destroyed Garbage Mouth.
Garbage Mouth was among the resurrected monsters to attend Master Vile's End of the World Party at the Youth Center.
Goatan
Goatan is a fictional monster in the Power Rangers universe, created by Rita Repulsa. It appeared in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
He was also known as the Storm Bringer. He was a powerful chimera. He was a powerful threat, able to summon blizzards, tornados, and even hurricanes at will. His weapons are a bow and arrow and hockey stick. He can create energy winds and cyclones to blow his enemies away, project eye beams, and produce ice spray from the mouth of its goat center.
Goatan was summoned by using the Noble Lion Trophy that was won by the Rangers. When he was challenged by four of the Power Rangers, Goatan easily overpowered them, beating them soundly before enveloping them in an energy cyclone. When Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger, arrived, he assaulted Goatan with his Power Axe, stunning the chimera and causing Rita to make him grow. Generating a snowstorm during the fight agains the Zords, Goatan encased the Dino Megazord in a thick sheet of ice, but before he could cause any damage, the Megazord broke free, then destroyed Goatan with the fully-energized Power Sword.
Grumble Bee
Grumble Bee was a fictional character and monster in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the television series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Grumble Bee was created by Finster after Rita Repulsa saw Billy's rage over getting a B grade on his science test. Grumble Bee was too powerful for Blue Ranger to handle alone, so Yellow Ranger came to her friend's aid. Grumble Bee was destroyed by the Megazord's Power Sword.
Grumble Bee could shoot greenish-yellow venom which could eat through any matter – even the Blue Ranger's suit – and its vibrating wings could send yellow pulses of energy through the air that would hurt the ears of anyone who listened to the sound.
Incisorator
Incisorator was created by Lord Zedd to distract the Power Rangers. For a creature whose mission was merely to keep the Rangers busy, Incisorator was surprisingly powerful, blocking the Rangers' blows with his shield-like cape. Incisorator completely overwhelmed the Rangers until, elsewhere, Goldar captured Kimberly, at which point Incisorator teleported away and was not seen again.
Incisorator was later present in the Machine Empire's army as they invaded the Phantom Ranger's home planet, where he was presumably vaporized by Zordon's energy wave.
Incisorator had the ability to fire purple electric beams from his scepter.
Katastrophe
Katastrophe is the cat monstrous form of Katherine Hillard in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the third season of the television show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
She is a brown-furred cat wearing lingerie. Katastrophe can teleport. Her weapon is a sword.
Katastrophe was created by Rita Repulsa out of Katherine's cat form, PC. Katastrophe was sent to ambush Billy Cranston and Adam Park on their way to Billy's lab. She overwhelmed the two Rangers until they were able to call the others. The Power Rangers easily thrashed Katastrophe, and she retreated. Kat was turned back to Katastrophe to attack the Rangers. As soon as the Rangers arrived to fight her, she was beaten by Ninjor and later destroyed by his fireball and the Ninja Megafalconzord's Power Punch. Though Kat returned in her human and animal form, she wasn't able to become Katastrophe again.
Katastrophe was among Divatox's army on the planet Gratha during Episode: Countdown To Destruction, where she was vaporized by Zordon's energy wave. Presumably this was a separate entity to Katherine Hillard, but that is not know for certain.
King Sphinx
King Sphinx is a Sphinx-like villain monster created by Finster. He can destroy other beings with his wings. He also wields a scepter with a golden question mark on the end, which emits flaming question marks. King Sphinx's Wedjat eye tattoo can see for miles, and his Cobra headdress can strike with deadly venom. His one weakness is rain, which dissolves him into a sandy puddle.
King Sphinx delights in burying Power Rangers up to their necks in sand and leaving them to their fate. Finster supposedly created him from a handful of Egyptian sand, which he threw into the clay mold while making the monster's model.
King Sphinx was originally named Fly Guy in the MMPR pilot episode.
Lizzinator
The Lizzinator was a fictional monster from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series.
The Lizzinator was Herculean in strength, able to lift up cars and huge boulders with ease. He also had the ability to fire explosive red energy beams from his eyes. Third, he could fire an explosive, gaseous spray from his mouth, which he dubbed his "Super Stink Breath."
Created by Finster to destroy the Power Rangers, the Lizzinator was forged from supermetals from another galaxy. First encountering Jason, the Lizzinator was unphased by the Red Ranger's assaults and easily overpowered him. Bored with the fight, the reptile retreated, saying he would come back when he could face all six Rangers together. When the Lizzinator appeared next, he was met with the full team, and again gave Jason quite a beating, assaulting him with massive boulders. The Lizzinator would have killed Jason if Tommy hadn't intervened, distracting the Lizzinator and giving him a rather good pounding. Grown to giant size by Rita, the Lizzinator easily overwhelmed the Rangers' Dragonzord and Megazord, forcing them to form the Ultrazord. The Ultrazord was able to break through the Lizzinator's metal skin with its superior firepower, destroying him in a burst of flame.
Much later, Finster recreated the Lizzinator to help Rito Revolto ambush and destroy the Thunder Zords. The Lizzinator was successful in demolishing the Zords, but was never seen again.
Mondo the Magician
Mondo the Magician is a fictional character in a fictional book, Grumble the Magic Elf, in the Power Rangers universe.
Mondo had put a spell on Grumble the Elf, turning him into a grouch, and he had to deliver the toys to the orphanage, dressed as Santa, if he ever wanted to be nice again.
Rita Repulsa was an old friend of Mondo. When Kim, Rocky, and Tommy were trapped in the book and turned to Mondo for help, he turned them away. Rita was able to free Mondo from the book, creating rampage on the city. He was destroyed by the Thunder Megazord.
Needlenose
Needlenose is a fictional monster of Power Rangers.
Needlenose is a cactus monster created by Lord Zedd. Needlenose uses paralyzing needles to weaken his opponents.
Lord Zedd had turned the cactus from Arizona that Tommy had given Kimberly (cactal vocifera spinoctera) into Needlenose. Zedd wanted Goldar and Needlenose to act quickly and travel back in time before the time hole close. Needlenose and Goldar managed to travel back to 1880 of Angel Grove, where they encountered Kimberly and the ancestors of the Power Rangers.
Needlenose had fought the 1880 Ranger ancestors and with Kimberly. Needlenose, with Goldar, made it back to the present and was destroyed by the Mega Tigerzord.
Photomare
Photomare is a fictional monster in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Lord Zedd created Photomare from a Polaroid camera. Photomare was able to trap the Rangers, when transformed into children, in a photograph.
Photomare had cornered Bulk and Skull, who were also turned into children, with Goldar to retrieve the photograph of the six kids. Alpha 5 was able to temporarily freeze Goldar and Photomare in their tracks. When the Rangers returned to their rightful age, they summoned the Red Dragon, in its warrior mode, which had Photomare create an evil duplicate of it called Copyzord. When the Thunderzords had combined to form the Thunder Megazord, it was able to destroy Photomare with its Thunder Saber.
Pirantishead
Pirantishead is a fictional piranha monster in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Pirantishead uses two fish that are connected by a chain to control objects or freeze them in place.
When Lord Zedd had took over in Rita's place, Zedd used his staff to transform a piranha on Earth into Pirantishead. Pirantishead was able to freeze the Sabertoothed Tiger, Triceratops, Mastodon, and Pterodactyl Dinozords. Pirantishead used the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord to turn against the Rangers. Billy was able to create a device to free the Dinozords from Pirantishead. The Thunder Megazord was able to destroy Pirantishead with its Thunder Saber.
Lord Zedd had summoned Pirantishead, again, to battle the Rangers. It was chosen as one of their best aquatic monsters.
Primator
Primator was a fictional character in the TV Series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Created by Lord Zedd, Primator was a white gorilla monster that had the ability to shape shift into any of the Power Rangers, whether as their Ranger forms or as normal teenagers. He attacked Alpha 5 in a failed attempt to infiltrate the Command Center, then battled the Power Rangers, completely overwhelming them with his strength and shape shifting powers. With Zordon's help, the Rangers figured out that having Primator see himself in reflective surfaces would revert him to his true form, then used a mirror against him. Grown to giant size by Lord Zedd, Primator fought the Thunder Megazord and Dragonzord, but was destroyed by the former's Thunder Saber.
Besides his ability to transform into any of the Power Rangers, Primator could also fire white lightning bolts from his hands, as well as some type of unseen blast from his head. When disguised as the Red Ranger, Primator could fire explosive laser beams from the tyrannosaurus eyes of the helmet. Lastly, Primator could teleport, and was armed with a lance similar to the Blue Ranger's Power Lance.
Pudgy Pig
The Pudgy Pig is a pig monster of Power Rangers.
Pudgy Pig could wipe out Earth's entire food supply in a mere 48 hours. It did not like spicy food.
Pudgy Pig was created by Finster to ruin the Food Festival at the Youth Center. Pudgy Pig immediately began to eat everything in sight. When battling the Power Rangers, Pudgy Pig swallowed their Power Weapons and sent them in a swirling vortex. The Rangers realized that it didn't like spicy food as they fed him so much spicy food that it became ill, throwing up all the food as well as the Rangers' weapons. The Rangers' used their Power Blaster to destroy the Pudgy Pig.
Rita Repulsa was able to transform Norman, Bulk's pet pig, into Pudgy Pig. The Rangers were able to turn Pudgy Pig back into Norman.
Repellator
Repellator is a fictional monster from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV Series. He was capable of firing "molecular disrupters" from the claws on his hands.
Repellator was a powerful monster created by Finster to destroy the Earth for Rita and Zedd, while five of the Power Rangers were off on the distant planet Edenoi. While Kimberly was suffering from the flu, she battled Repellator, who ended up catching her cold thanks to her sneezes. Later, as Finster examined him, he was told to rest in bed until he was well, but Repellator refused, insisting on defeating the Pink Ranger for Rita and Zedd. After refusing a shot with a gigantic needle, Repellator finally agreed to take two pills, then immediately returned to Earth. Repellator later fought the Rangers when they returned to Earth and summoned the Thunder Megazord and White Tigerzord. Repellator was destroyed by the Thunder Megazord.
Rhinoblaster
In the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fictional universe, Rhinoblaster is a football-playing rhinoceros monster created by Finster.
Rhinoblaster is quick on his feet and very clever. He could blow white mists from his nostrils and place his enemies in a multidimensional vortex. He wields a curved sword. He could project energy bolts from his sword and horn.
He had put the Putty Patrol in football jerseys to battle the Power Rangers, then used his white mist to trap the Rangers in the vortex. He was then challenged by Tommy and the Dragonzord. As Rhinoblaster blew his mist to trap Tommy, Tommy threw the Dragon Dagger into the source of the mist, as Jason caught it, and all of the other Rangers had escaped the vortex. The Mega Dragonzord's Z Sphere destroyed Rhinoblaster.
He was later selected, along with Peckster, to guard the Rangers in the Abandoned Theater as Rita and Zedd got married. They failed, and the Rangers eventually escaped.
Robogoat
RoboGoat was a mythical cyborg goat sent by Lord Zedd to battle the Power Rangers and steal their Sword of Power. Though successful, RoboGoat eventually lost the sword back to the Rangers and was destroyed by the Thunder Megazord.
Salaguana
Salaguana was a fictional monster from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series. He was a hybrid of an iguana and a mythical salamander, capable of living in and breathing fire. He could also extend his tongue and use it as a rope.
Salaguana was created by Lord Zedd, from Miss Applebee's pet iguana. After Salaguana terrorized Bulk and Skull, he fought Zack and Billy. The two finally extinguished his flame breath with an ice weapon and assaulted him with the "Power Blaster", forcing Zedd to make him grow. After the ensuing battle, the Thunder Megazord destroyed Salaguana with its Thunder Saber.
Salaguana was later re-created by Finster to battle the Rangers in the "Specter Theater". After fighting them, Salaguana attended Zedd and Rita's wedding, bringing them a human skull as a wedding gift. When the monsters attacked the Rangers, Salaguana was destroyed, this time for good, by the Thunder Megazord.
Silver Horns
Silver Horns is a fictional monster from the Power Rangers universe from the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Silver Horns was created by Lord Zedd from a tick. After a brief fight with the Power Rangers, Silver Horns was grown to giant size and battled the Red Dragon Thunderzord. The fight went back and forth between the two combatants until the remaining Thunder Zords arrived. Forming the Thunder Ultrazord, the Rangers crushed Silver Horns flat, destroying the insectoid beast.
Silver Horns' main ability was to fire lightning from his claws, as well as all the horns and spikes jutting from his body. He could also spew fire from his horns.
Soccadillo
In the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fictional universe, Soccadillo is an armadillo monster created by Finster.
Soccadillo could roll and fly in ball mode. He would have terrbile claws and electric needles. As it would be fed energy to transform into its monstrous form, in less than an hour more of charging, the Soccadillo would be invincible. He could project energy bolts from the spikey areas on his forearms. He could project energy from his eyes.
Goldar had initiated the idea of toying with the Rangers' urge to help Roger at soccer. Rita was feeding the Soccadillo energy to allow it to transform into monster form and to increase its powers. The Red and Green Ranger simultaneously punched the flying Soccadillo in ball mode, causin an explosion which reverted Soccadillo to monster form. When Soccadillo grew to giant heights, he was unharmed by the Dragonzord's missiles. The Dino Megazord's Power Sword destroyed Soccadillo.
Stag Beetle
Stag Beetle is a fictional monster in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Stag Beetle can drain opponents of their energy and use it. Stag Beetle can project energy bolts from claws and pincers and shock their foes with claws.
Stag Beetle was created by Lord Zedd out of a drawing on a flyer for Stone Canyon's broomball team. In his fight with the Rangers, he managed to completely drain Tommy of his Green Ranger powers. As he battled the other Rangers, he fired blast after blast at them, and with each blast it uses up the Green Ranger power. Alpha 5 had created a device called the "Green Energy Transducer" for Tommy to use against Stag Beetle. By absorbing one of Stag Beetle's energy into the Transducer, Tommy regained his powers. Stag Beetle was destroyed by the Thunder Megazord.
Stag Beetle was recreated by Finster to assist Rito Revolto in ambushing the Thunder Zords.
Turbanshell
In the Power Rangers fictional universe, Turbanshell is a mollusk monster .
Turbanshell wields a staff with a large spiked shell on one end, projects energy beams from his face and can project an energy twister from his staff. Turbanshell is able to seal itself up in its shell and hurl itself at the Thunder Megazord. To defeat Turbanshell, he must be hit in his inner shell with intense heat, then frozen.
Lord Zedd created Turbanshell from the large and unusual shell that Kim had found at the lake. Turbanshell was able to knock the Thunder Megazord over and cause the Rangers to eject from it. Turbanshell was later sent to fight Tommy, as he was able to absorb the last of his powers. Turbanshell attacked Angel Grove after Goldar took over his place in Otherworld. Zordon told the Rangers how to beat him, and used Tommy to do it. The Thunder Megazord's Thunder Saber destroyed Turbanshell.
Turbanshell was among the Machine Empire's army on Eltar during Episode: Countdown To Destruction, fighting the Phantom Ranger and Blue Senturion.
Turkey Jerk
Turkey Jerk is a fictional monster in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Turkey Jerk is a cyborg turkey monster that was created by Bulk and Skull. Turkey Jerk was equipped with powerful weapons.
Bulk and Skull constructed Turkey Jerk in Skull's father's workshop, intending to use it to lure the Power Rangers into the open so they could unmask them. They began building the monster using instructions from a book by H.P. Toth called Monster Making Made Easy, but halfway through they accidentally began following directions from a different book: How to Cook a Thanksgiving Feast.
It is unlikely that Bulk and Skull alone could have animated their monster, however Lord Zedd saw what they were trying to do and decided to bring it to life himself.
Turkey Jerk considered Bulk and Skull to be its parents. He wanted the two of them to come with him to blow up Angel Grove. The Power Cannon destroyed Turkey Jerk.
Vampirus
Vampirus is a fictional creature in the Power Rangers universe, an alien bat mutant appearing in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Vampirus are a race of nasty creatures. They are known to be incredibly ugly and have good combat skills. They hatch from eggs. A Vampirus egg are the size of a pineapple. Vampirus is able to take his opponents to pocket dimension of flames and a red sky.
Rito Revolto had got a few Tenga Warrior Eggs and a Vampirus Egg as a wedding present for Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa. Once the Tengas hatched, the Tengas placed the Vampirus egg outside the entrance to the rock formation which led to the Temple of Power so that Vampirus could seize the Temple's power for Rita and Zedd. Vampirus had hatched and had lured Ninjor out into the Desert of Despair and fought him. Ninjor and the Ninja MegaFalconzord destroyed Vampirus.
Vampirus would be recreated by Finster on many occasions. He was paired up with Artist Mole as part of Rita and Zedd's divide-and-conquer attack. He was at Master Vile's End of the World Party and at the Machine Arena.
Vampirus was with Rita and Zedd's army on a planet in the Vica Galaxy fighting the Gold Ranger. He was destroyed by Zordon's energy wave.
