Slave crown
In the Squaresoft video game Final Fantasy VI, the slave crown is a mechanical device used by the Empire to control the wearer's thoughts. When the game begins, the character Terra Branford is wearing a slave crown, but when she comes in contact with the Esper Tritoch, the resulting burst of magical energy destroys the crown.
