Description
Sho has just-past-shoulder-length brown hair and bright red eyes. He wears a purple mantle with one shoulder lifted up to allow freedom of movement for his sword-weilding arm. He also wears a black shirt and black pants, with the bottom of a red tunic and knee-length brown boots. He is twice as fast as any other character save perhaps Ellis, and his moves do twice as much damage as any other character except for Gaia and Rungo, who are designed for raw power. He started out as a very cheap character, but by the time Toshinden 3 was released he had been toned down somewhat to an almost-normal character.
Story
Sho had trained his younger brother Eiji Shinjo and Eiji's friend Kayin Amoh in the ways of the sword ever since the two were children. One day, however, he vanished without any trace, leaving Eiji and Kayin, as he felt they had reached an adequate level of swordsmanship and could train without him. He travelled the world over, taking the name "The Stranger", searching out and defeating all those who were even rumored to have any potential. Word reached Sho of the Toshindaibukai, a tournament that was to be held for the strongest in the world, and he decided to enter. Watching afar from the shadows, intervening only when he could stand it no longer, Sho waited out the tournament to see who was truly worty of fighting him. It came down to Gaia, the holder of the tournament, and his younger brother Eiji, whom he had noticed earlier. A man named Chaos intervened and stopped the battle, as Gaia ad apparently held the tournament without the permission of the organization who sponsored it. With Gaia out of the picture, there was only one left to face: Eiji. Sho confronted his brother and defeated him easily because Eiji held back and Sho did not. At the end though, Sho simply gave Eiji a glance over his shoulder and walked off, leaving Eiji beaten.
It is around this time, the point in between the first and second tournaments, that two major things happened in Sho's life. Firstly, he killed Kayin Amoh's father, causing Kayin to begin a manhunt for Sho's head. Second, Sho's son Subaru Shinjo is born, the mother unknown. Sho enters the second tournament for the same reasons he did the first. He comes across Eiji once more, this time only narrowly defeating him. He breaks into the organization's main compound and kills Uranus and Master because they had been making clones of him and using them to turn people against Sho. He walks out of the building just as Gaia arrives.
