Happy Wanderers

The Happy Wanderers (also the Shmenge Brothers) were a fictional polka duo featured on the SCTV comedy program in 1982-1983. They were comprised of John Candy as clarinetist Yosh Shmenge and Eugene Levy as accordionist Stan Shmenge. Together they played popular songs and medleys for an aging Jewish-styled audience, who typically dined on cabbage rolls and coffee. The brothers were immigrants from the fictional country of Leutonia.
