• The royal family name (石) of the Later Zhao in China.
• A lowest rank of Chinese noble 士 during Zhou Dynasty. Later the character simply means a government official.
• A piece (士 or 仕) in Chinese chess.
• A Japanese suffix (市) designating the size of a municipality as being a city of at least population 50,000.
