Scabb Island

Scabb Island is the first island featured in the adventure game Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. The island is inhabited by an anarchistic yet peaceful community of pirates. The ultimate authority amongst them however is Largo LaGrande a short but physically mighty pirate and former right-handman of LeChuck. He bullies the other pirates for their money and prevents any ships from leaving the island with his embargo, The Largo Embargo.

The capital town of Scabb is Woodtick, located at the north-beach, which is actually formed from ships which have been wrecked on the rocks. Woodtick has a hotel, a bar/restaurant, a cleaners and a woodsmith's and is also home to Wally. Located at the beach is the former weenie hut of Rapp Scallion. In the west is the swamp which houses the International House of Mojo. A graveyard is located at the sout-east end of the island. The Houseboat (Jolly Rasta) of the Jamaican pirate Captain Dread is docked at the sout-west peninsula.

Trivia

• The Men of Low Moral Fiber make their second (and last) appearance on Scabb Island.
• Though Guybrush remarks Mêlée Island as being the location of the original International House of Mojo, in truth the name did not appear until MI2. In MI1 the Voodoo Lady's establishment was known as Ye Olde Rubber-Chicken-with-a-pulley-in-the-middle Shoppe.
• Scabb is the only all-night island in MI2. Despite the fact that it's sunny on both Booty and Phatt Island, Scabb is always covered in darkness.
• In Escape from Monkey Island Jojo Jr. claims he is the son of the monkey from the first Monkey Island game who helped Guybrush enter the Giant Monkey Head on Monkey Island. However, Jojo is in truth the name of the monkey who plays piano at the Woodtick bar, though it's not entirely impossible that both monkeys might have the same name.
