San Diego may mean the following:

San Diego County in the Southwest corner of California, the southwesternmost County in the Continental USA.
The city of San Diego, California is located in San Diego County.
Spanish explorer Sebastian Vizcaino's ship used to explore San Diego Bay. Sebastian Vizcaino named San Diego Bay after his own ship, 60 years after Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo named it San Miguel. This mistake was not noticed until after Spain had recognized it as San Diego Bay.
