Sa'ad Eddin Ibrahim

Sa'ad Eddin Ibrahim is an Egyptian sociologist who was imprisoned in 2000 for criticizing Egypt's political processes. He received a seven-year sentence, but was later released because of outside political pressure.

Ibrahim is founder of the Ibn Khaldun Center for Development Studies in Cairo and the Arab Organization for Human Rights.
