Russ Jackson

Russ Stanley Jackson (July 28 1936-) was a Canadian football quarterback.

He was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1936. In 1958, he graduated from McMaster University with a B.Sc. in Mathematics. He led the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League to three Grey Cup championship victories, the last one being in 1969. Russ Jackson is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in Hamilton, Ontario. Many consider him one of the best Canadians to play in the CFL, while most consider him to be the best Canadian to play the quarterback position.

After retiring from football, he returned to teaching, eventually becoming a high school principal.
