Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday was also a song by the Rolling Stones, unrelated to the chain as it came out years before it was founded.

Ruby Tuesday is an American casual dining restaurant chain known for its salad bar (commonly using the slogan "Awesome Food, Serious Salad Bar"). It was founded in 1972 by five University of Tennessee students and is now headquartered in Maryville, Tennessee. The first location was adjacent to UT's Knoxville campus at the corner of Twentieth Avenue and Kingston Pike (now Twentieth Street and Cumberland Avenue). The building still stands, but it is now occupied by a Stefano's Pizzeria and a bar called Charlie Peppers, both of which are local institution in their own right. Today Ruby Tuesday maintains 575 restaurants in 13 countries.
