Roz Doyle

Roz Doyle is a fictional character played by Peri Gilpin in the sitcom Frasier. She is the producer of the Dr Frasier Crane Show on KACL 780AM in Seattle. Although initially reluctant to take the job, because she thought a radio show about psychiatry would be boring, she and Frasier Crane soon become firm friends.

Roz is a very attractive woman and many of her colleagues, such as Bulldog Briscoe and Noel Shempsky are attracted to her, although she does not feel the same way about them. Roz has gone out with a lot of men in her lifetime, and seems to have a different boyfriend every week. Roz was not ready to settle down in the early years of the show, and just wanted to have fun first. This changed though when she became pregnant in 1997 after a one night stand, and gave birth to her daughter Alice May Doyle the following year. Now a single parent, Roz is looking for Mr Right, and has had a few long term relationships since then, although as of 2004 she is still single.

In 2004 Roz became station manager of KACL after the previous manager, Kenny Daley, decided to become a DJ again.

The character is named after a producer of Wings, a show created by the same creators of Frasier, who passed away due to breast cancer in 1991. The character was named after her as a tribute.
