Roxanne (song)

"Roxanne" is a hit song by the art rock band The Police, first released in 1978. Sting, who was the lead singer of The Police before his solo career, wrote the song about a prostitute he saw after a performance. A variation of this song was sung by Ewan McGregor in the 2001 film Moulin Rouge.
