Rothes
Rothes is a village in Moray, Scotland, south of Elgin and on the banks of the River Spey. The village has a population of 1209 (2001).
At the south end of the village lie the remains of Rothes Castle, which probably dates from the 15th century. The village and castle are associated with the Earl of Rothes, and is now home to a number of distilleries, the best known being Glen Grant.
