Rorippa is a flowering plant genus of some 50 species, including several previously placed in the genus Nasturtium (ITIS, 2004). These are herbaceous perennial plants in the cabbage family (Brassicaceae), related to garden cress and mustard. Species are native to Europe through central Asia, Africa, and North America.

Species of Rorippa have a peppery, tangy (pungent) flavor. The best-known species are the edible watercresses: R. nasturtium-aquaticum and R. microphylla.
