Roger Wicker

Roger F. Wicker (born July 5 1951), is an American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1995, representing the First Congressional District of Mississippi (map). Born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, he attended the University of Mississippi, graduating with a degree in Law. He also served in the U.S. Air Force and Reserve, with the rank of lieutenant-colonel. He sat in the Mississippi State Senate from 1988 to 1994, when he was elected to the House. He is currently a member of the House Appropriations Committee and House Budget Committee. He is also Deputy Majority Whip.

Congressman Wicker and his wife Gail have three children and currently reside in Tupelo.
