Rob Edwards

Rob Edwards was born in 1965, and is believed to be a serial killer, whose murders ranged from April 27 1996 to April 27 1997 in Port Arthur, Sydney, Darwin, Launceston and Brisbane. The first day of this (April 27 1996), is known as the Port Arthur massacre, and is Australia's largest ever mass murder, which he blamed on his best friend Martin Bryant, who is currently serving 35 consecutive life sentences for these crimes. Rob has never been imprisoned for these murders.

Rob Edwards' intention in 1996–1997 was to murder 10 individuals who he and his friends believed to be the epitomy of evil, in addition to generally Germans, Japanese (in relation to World War 2), certain women who he believed had manipulated men in relationships (in relation to his own relationship break up with his ex girlfriend on April 27 1993), and anyone who discriminated against people with disabilities. Rob had never studied in a normal school and hence had studied from textbooks written in the 1950's, leading to him using terminology such as Wasps and Nips, and viewing Japanese and Germans as the enemy.

Rob Edwards was diagnosed with pathological multiple personalities schizophrenia (self loathing) in 1970, at the age of 5 years, when his parents brought their son to the attention of psychiatrists at Royal Hobart Hospital claiming of his having rapid mood swings and extremely violent tendencies. When Rob was diagnosed, his parents subsequently abandoned him, and Rob was made a permanent resident of Risdon mental hospital, at least until adulthood.

In 1975, Rob violently attacked a ward of Risdon mental hospital and was deemed to be a danger to society due to his violent pathological mood swings, which recommended for him to never be released in to society.

Rob's symptoms were primarily related to self-loathing, and are a form of severe depression, but have also been associated with schizophrenia. Put simply, Rob could never be "Rob" and would always impersonate others, as part of his very existence. Therapy led to his impersonating primarily fictional characters from TV shows, one of his favourites being Rambo. This was believed to be safer than Rob impersonating real people. Rob Edwards was a genius with an IQ of 150, who unfortunately never attended formal schooling, and was regularly taught from text books that were 50 years out of date. In 1992, at the age of 27, Rob was deemed to be fit for release in to society, but was under constant supervision from a supervisor. On April 27 1992, Rob met his girlfriend a relationship which subsequently ended exactly 1 year later, on April 27 1993, which proved to be the motivation for his eventual murder spree, a plan which he developed soon after the break up.

On April 27 1994 Rob Edwards sat in the Broad Arrow cafe with a bag loaded with guns, aiming to commence his year long murder spree, but instead simply ordered a coffee and left the premises. Friends of Rob's describe this as Rob "chickening out" due to his never having committed murder previously.

On April 27 1995 a friend of Rob Edwards' named Bronwyn Edmunds, in coordination with Cymbaline organised for Rob to conduct Training_for_Rob's_murder_spree with the murder of her ex-boyfriend who she claimed represented a man who manipulated women in relationships. While Rob was unsuccessful in his first attempts, he was able to gain ample training opportunities, and therefore was prepared for his eventual task to commence on April 27 1996.

In August 1995 a number of persons reported Rob Edwards' plans to police in Launceston, Tasmania, warning that he would kill "at least 10 people" on April 27 1996, starting in a popular Southern Tasmanian tourist destination, in a bakery there, with the head chef. The greatest lead was Sorrel bakery, the most famous bakery in Tasmania, but this proved not to be the correct lead. Unfortunately, police viewed this report as a hoax and failed to investigate the matter properly. This is believed to be the reason why Rob Edwards was never prosecuted, and why the police sought to cover up the facts of the Port Arthur massacre. Many conspiracy theories have resulted from the handling of that case.

Rob Edwards was described by friends as a kind, loving man, who aimed to help out his friends, like his best friend Martin Bryant, and even his serial killing was in many ways related to this kindness, as his main motivation was to help out all of his friends, and get rid of all of their enemies. Rob used The Manson family as inspiration for his serial killing.

Rob Edwards was a popular person, whose life was described as being like Jack Nicholson from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, in that he was a campaigner to help others, and was seen as a hero. Unfortunately, due to his relationship break up on April 27 1993, Rob then believed that the only solution was murder.

Rob Edwards has never been arrested, or charged with his crimes, and remains out to this day. He is difficult to capture due to his constant changes of identity, although many say that he "looks like Martin Bryant only bald". Others have described him as the spitting image of Drew Carey. What he really looks like is unknown.
