Rob Bishop

Robert Bishop (born July 13 1951) is a member of the United States House of Representatives. He is the representative for the First District of Utah (map).

Bishop was born in Kaysville, Utah and received a B.A. from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 1974. He was a teacher and a private advocate, and was a member of the Utah state assembly from 1979 until 1995. He was speaker of the assembly from 1992 until 1994. Bishop was first elected to Congress in 2002. He is a member of the United States Republican Party and is running for a second term in the elections of November 2004.
