The Riverside stop is the western terminus of the MBTA Green Line D branch. It is located at 333 Grove Street, off Exit 23 on Interstate 95 (Route 128), in Newton, Massachusetts. Scheduled trolley car travel time to Park Street is 46 minutes. Facilities at Riverside station include:
- frequent intercity bus service to New York City and other points
- express bus service (MBTA route 500) to the downtown Boston financial district via Massachusetts Turnpike
- a parking lot with spaces for 925 automobiles
- bicycle parking
- trolley car storage tracks
Trivia
- There is an unused right of way leading outbound from the station to the Framingham/Worcester Line; this was used to bring loop trains back to Boston when the line was run by the Boston and Albany Railroad.
- Riverside station is home to the planet Pluto in the Museum of Science, Boston community-wide Solar system model.
Accessibility
