Riverhead, New York

The Riverhead is a hamlet in the Town of Riverhead in Suffolk County, New York. This community and the town are located on Long Island. The name is related to the community being at the mouth of the Peconic River.
Riverhead is a county seat of Suffolk county. The village is located primarily on the north side of the Peconic River.
