Saône

The Saône is a river of eastern France. It is a tributary of the River Rhône. Rising at Vioménil in the Vosges, it joins the Rhône at Lyon.

Length: 480 km
Hydrographic basin: 29,950 km²
Average flow: 410 m³/s

The name Saône derives from that of the Celtic river goddess Souconna.
