River Cottage

River Cottage a place that had been previously used as a weekend and holiday home in Dorset until; in 1997 when Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall moved in and turned it into the setting for three series, Escape to River Cottage, Return to River Cottage and River Cottage Forever in which follows Hugh's adventures as a downshifted smallholder.

In the newer series Beyond River Cottage Hugh's progress is followed as he sets up a new business from River Cottage HQ (close to his farm near the original River Cottage in west Dorset).
