Rita Lee

Rita Lee is a Brazilian rock singer and composer. Lee was born Rita Lee Jones on December 31, 1947 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Lee's father is American and her mother is Italian.
In 1966 Lee, together with Arnaldo Baptista and Sérgio Dias, formed the band Os Mutantes. The band broke up in 1972. Lee has released many albums as a solo artist.
Lee was married to Baptista from 1971-1977. In 1996 she married Roberto De Carvalho, who was introduced to her by Ney Matogrosso.
Lee was educated in a French school, and speak English, Portugues, French and Italian fluently.
