Risk Your Life
Risk Your Life (RYL) is a realtime MMORPG geared towards the PvP style of play. The game consists of two races who meet each other as they progress. There are two safe maps or islands for each race. Once a player reaches lvl 35–40 and move on to the other maps they are fair game to any players of the opposing race. Every player starts as one of two to four basic classes(depending on the race they chose) until they reach level ten. Upon reaching level ten, they can meet a special trainer that will train them in the ways of a more specialized class. At this point, the player can choose from two classes if they are of the Human race or 3 classes if they are of the Akkan race. The Akkan race is a mysterious species of aliens that humans meet when expanding their territory to a new island. This forms the main premise for the war between the Humans and the Akkan. The classes have lots of different skills which gives a lot of variety to the game. The two races have unique skills, items, looks, and even separate islands(althought later islands are shared by both races).
Human Classes
The four basic Human classes are the Rogue, Mage, Fighter, and Acolyte. Rogue classes aim to sneak up on opponents and score critical hits on them from behind. Mage classes use a variety of spells to damage, immobilize, and weaken their foes. Mages are self-reliant for most of the game; they do not need a party. Fighter classes wield mighty swords, axes, and hammers with which to pound their enemies into the ground. Acolyte is stays out of battle while healing and buffing(adding bonuses to stats) the players in their party. They are completely dependant on having a party.
Akkan Classes
The two basic Akkan classes are the Combatant and Officiator. The Combatant class is much like the Human Fighter class in that the classes specialize in melee combat and skills. It also contains an Archer-like class that uses gun type weapons for long range fire. The Officiator class contains a mage-like class, an acolyte-like class, and a rogue-like class. They play much the same as the human ones but use different skills and items.
