Ribulose

Ribulose is a sugar or carbohydrate. It is a monosaccharide or pentose and belongs to the series of keto-pentoses. Two isoforms are possible. D-ribulose (D-erythro-pentulose) and L-ribulose (L-erythro-pentulose). D-ribulose is a intermediate in the fungal pathway for D-arabitol production.
