Rheinmetall
Rheinmetall is a German defense company with factories in Düsseldorf and Unterlüß. It has a long tradition of making guns and artillery pieces, such as the WW2 88 mm gun. Its best-known current product is the 120-mm smoothbore tank gun developed for the Leopard 2 tank, also carried by the American M1A1. It also made the [Rheinmetall LTA2]] 105-mm of the Argentine TAM. Other defence products are the universal machine gun MG3 and the PzH 2000 howitzer with a jacket cradle of Oto Melara.
The company is also involved in a variety of advanced metal-working and milling technologies. This has allowed it to provide special high-quality components for small arms in addition to its heavy weapon production.
