Recca Hanabishi
Recca Hanabishi (花菱烈火 Hanabishi Rekka), is the title character in a Japanese anime series, Flame of Recca, otherwise known as Rekka no Honō in Japan. Originally born into the Hokage ninja clan 400 years ago, Recca sent forward in time by his mother, Kage Hoshi to avoid the destruction of a feudal war. Recca has the power to create fire. With his friends Fuko, Domon, and Mikigami, they must fight in a deadly tournament to defend the healer Yanagi. Recca is quick to test his strength and is especially persistent when defending his love, Yanagi.
The main antagonist is Kurei, Recca's half brother, cursed with an evil flame, and determined to destroy his brother. The story is action packed and a classic underdog story, building up more and more strength to prevail.
The name, 'Recca' is an allusion to the Japanese term meaning "Raging Fire".
