Rat Bastard
Rat Bastard (a.k.a. Frank Falestra) has been behind some of the strangest psych/noise music/performance art rock acts to emerge in the last 15 years or so.
His band, Scraping Teeth, won Spin Magazine's Worst Band in America contest in 1994. He also founded To Live and Shave in L.A. 1 and To Live and Shave in L.A. 2 with Tom Smith, Weasel Walter, Misty Martinez and others, penning the free glam Manifesto. Later he continued in the same vein later with his band The Laundryroom Squelchers (a.k.a. The Squelchers) in Miami, Florida.
Most recently, he was the tour manager for Costes's Holy Virgin Cult in 2003. That year, he also one a noise battle in Madame Chao's Chaorin Kombat — the prize being the opening act for Cock E.S.P. at the same show.
