Ram-raiding
Ram-raiding is the act of using a vehicle to break into a building (usually a store) by smashing the windows or door at the building's entrance.
Upon breaking into the building, items such as cash, goods, or drugs are stolen. This act has occurred since at least the mid 1930s.
Commercial properties in areas prone to ram-raids often erect strong barriers or obstructions such as bollards to discourage such attacks.
