Rafael (Glitter Character)

Rafael was a supporting character in the movie, Glitter (movie). He is also a singer and songwriter was played by Eric Benet

Rafael is first soon in the movie at a rehearsal for the USA Music Awards. Billie Frank secretly watches in admiration and the two briefly exchange hellos before Billie is called to perform. Later that night, at the after party of the USA Music Awards, Rafael meets up with Billie again and suggests that they write a song together. However, Dice catches winds of this situation and feels threatened, as he believes that Rafael is making sexual advances towards Billie. He is also jealous as he was denied permission to write and produce for Billie's debut album. Before clear plans can be made, Dice orders Billie to leave the party.

Later on, following the breakup of Dice and Billie, Billie is surprised when Rafael meets her at a studio to write a song. Over a piano, Rafael starts out by humming a little thing he had thought of in his head. Billie carries on with the melody, and eventually they write the song, "Want You", which goes onto become a major smash hit. It is known if Rafael and Billie have written other songs together.
