Q-Ball

A Q-Ball is a new idea in theoretical physics. Derived from SUSY, or supersymmetry, which states that all particles have a 'superpartner' in the universe, a Q-Ball could have been formed long ago in the primordial particle soup. A Q-Ball is a collection of squarks and sleptons, the superpartners of quarks and leptons, and would have been unstable. However, if they do exist, Q-Balls could be a great new source of pollution-free energy, because Q-Balls appear to have the strange ability to tear apart the gluons and quarks within hadrons, and this would release a great amount of energy.
