Pulmonic sounds

(Redirected from Pulmonic Sounds)

In human speech, pulmonic sounds are sounds in which the air stream originates in the lungs. The lungs push (or pull) air through the throat and nose and/or mouth. Most sounds in all languages are pulmonic, but some languages also have glottalic sounds and/or velaric sounds.
