Przeworsk culture

The green area is the Przeworsk culture in the first half of the 3rd century. The red area is the extent of the Wielbark culture, the yellow area is a Baltic culture (Yotvingian?), and the pink area is the Debczyn Culture. The dark blue area is the Roman Empire

The Iron Age Przeworsk culture is considered by some archaeologists as one of the original cultures which led to the Slavic spread, between 2nd century BC and the 4th century AD. Located in the upper Dnestr valley, the Tisza river valley in Hungary and into the valleys of the Oder and Vistula, the settlements and cemeteries suggest that Przeworsk folks were horsemen.
