Prometheus Unbound

Prometheus Unbound is a four-act play by Percy Bysshe Shelley first published 1820. It is based upon the ancient Greek play Prometheus Bound, believed to have been written by Aeschylus. Shelley's play concerns the final release from captivity of Prometheus, the ancient Greek god who stole fire from the gods to give to mankind.
