Poma 2000
The Poma 2000 in Laon, France, is a cable-driven mini-metro between the railway station and the city hall (1.5km, max. gradient 13%). There are three stations (Gare, Vaux, Hôtel de Ville). Opened in 1989 replacing a former rack rail tram line (1899-1971), it runs on rubber tyres on a metallic track at a 2.5 min headway. The capacity is 900 passengers/hour.
