Pointe-au-Père lighthouse
The Pointe-Au-Père lighthouse was built in 1908 in the city of Pointe-au-Père, near Rimouski. This city was a well known in naval circles, being the stable place of the pilot station for the Bas-Saint-Laurent zone.
The lighthouse is 108 feet tall, which makes it the second tallest in Eastern Canada. It had its light replaced by an electronic one in 1975, and is now open for visitors as part of the Musée de la Mer (museum of the sea).
