Pohang is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. The city is served by several trains a day from Seoul and is the terminus for a number of ferry routes serving the adjacent East Sea. Pohang's main claim to fame is that it is the home of POSCO (the Pohang Steel Company), one of the largest steel producers in the world. And it has many labours where have been studying science technology for people.
The city is also home to K-League soccer club Pohang Steelers.
