Phoenix Roadrunners

The Phoenix Roadrunners are an ECHL hockey team set to begin play for the 2005–2006 season in Phoenix, Arizona. The team is owned by the same group as the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Rattlers and will also play in the America West Arena. The team president is Claude Lemieux. There also used to be a minor league hockey team in Phoenix named the Roadrunners on two different occasions, and the team will attempt to preserve some of the traditions and history of the old teams.
