Phacade
A form and variation of spelling of the word Façade, Phacade actually refers to a autonomous splinter group of a Hong Kong based triad, specifically the Wo Shing Wo triad. While most triads use a numeric code to differentiate the ranks and positions inside a gang, Phacade is/are considered free lances agents and informants from the outside the organization. As such it is not uncommon for outsiders to fill in the ranks of this ambiguous arm of the triads.
While the The name "triad" was originally coined by the British authorities in Hong Kong, referring to the triangular shape of the Chinese character for "secret society", the name Phacade was coined internally within the organization due to the façade of a gwailo being used for espionage and informant. The fact that other triads would easily dismiss a forigner gives them greater autonomy in the underworld giving a Phacade greater flexibility as an information source, or possibily as an assassin.
The former Portuguese colony of Macau is a haven for recruitment for Phacade contacts, typically near or ruins of the Jesuit Cathedral of St. Paul (Sao Paulo). For already recruited forigners working for Wo Shing Wo, generally they congregate at the Hong Kong Jockey Clubs.
