Peter Steele

Peter Steele (Real name: Peter Ratajczyk) born January 4th, 1962-2005 (?)(There are unconfirmed rumours of Steele's death after his bands website posted this. Steele had been suffering from a mystery illness since the summer of 2004). The lead singer of and a bassist for the doom/gothic metal band Type O Negative.

He is 6'6" tall.

Steele's bass voice sets much of the mood for Type O Negative's brooding melodies.

In 1995 he posed for explicit nude photographs for the women's adult magazine Playgirl.

Steele has mentioned Paul McCartney as one of his "all-time heroes", noting that McCartney is particularly accomplished at simultaneously playing bass and singing without compromising the quality of either act.

Before joining Type O Negative, Steele played for hard rock group Fallout, and the thrash metal band Carnivore

He has been described as a possible Raven from Snow Crash.
